Since our Laboratory of Mobile Telecommunication has been set up has
got on well with the Andersen Consulting Company traditionally which by
setting up the Andersen Consulting Scholarship for Researchers helped to start the work of the Laboratory
and since then it continuously contributes to carry out the researchers undisturbly. The scholarships
of Andersen Consulting for researchers are handed over in the Rector's office in a ceremony and these events
are always followed by media attention.
The Westel Mobile
Telecommunication Incorporation (its former name was Westel 900 GSM) provides our laboratory with
professional expertise. On the one hand several students' measurings are rested on the GSM equipment
park in the Department of Telecommunications installed by Westel Mobile Telecommunication Incorporation.
On the other hand this way our students have the opportunity to study the GSM technology in its real
environment. Nevertheless this connection is bilateral, because the Westel Mobile Telecommunication
Incorporation regularly askes our teachers to hold courses in the frames of Westel Academy.
Our laboratory had close co-operation with the
Ericsson Traffic Laboratory
from the beginning. For example our laboratory took part in the elaboration of the mobile radio interface
model of the PLAZMA simulational software kit. At present we co-operate in the area of the research of the
mobile internet protocol.
